Early-purchase conditions
Record the first trip payment date and read how soon the option must be purchased.
Insured trip cost
Some plans require the traveler to insure specified eligible trip costs to qualify.
Cancellation timing
CFAR can require cancellation before a specified point prior to departure.
Reimbursement is not universal
Do not assume CFAR pays the full nonrefundable trip cost; the percentage and maximum come from the certificate.
